Volunteer Opportunity: Nutrition Class Support
Objective:
To ensure that all participants of the class are signing in and obtaining the materials for that class.
Responsibilities:
Reminding participants to sign in
Passing out materials
Help pass out any incentives to participants (produce bags, goody bags from speakers, etc.)
Qualifications:
Volunteer should have a warm and professional demenor when it comes to our participants. Many of them may be tired from their day, and we want to make the nutrition class a fun experience for them. Volunteers that help us with this objective would be greatly appreciated!
Time commitment:
This volunteer position is Tuesdays from 6pm-7pm. A volunteer is not required to do all of the classes for that nutrition cohort, but should the volunteer want to participate then it would be fine with us.
Training
A training guide will be sent to the volunteers as soon as they apply, and more training will be given in person on the morning of the packing event.
Additional requirements:
The volunteer has to be able to commute to the NRC for the volunteer opportunity. They also have to agree with our mission to help people eat better by providing them with nutritional education and access to quality produce.
