After School Power Packers
Objective:
To pack balanced meals prepared for children and senior citezens into insulated bags.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that bowls are filled up with prepared meals
Ensure that lids on the bows are secure before packing in insulated bags
Pack 36-42 meals per insulated bag depending on capacity
Qualifications:
Ability to work in an assembly line fashion
Ability to work as a team
Effective communication skills
Time commitment:
This volunteer position is sporadic, and usually occurs Thursday mornings from 9:00 AM -10:30 AM, or Thursday evenings, from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm
Training
There will be a guide sent out that explains the assembly line, as well as in-person training upon arrival from the volunteer coordinator.
Additional requirements:
Volunteers are required to commute to the NRC to be able to volunteer in this position.
